Not at all. The UPF 50+ protection is built-in and permanent. It will not wear out or wash out.

How does moisture-wicking technology work?

Unlike cotton, which absorbs and holds moisture, Sunbird Solar™ is designed to pull perspiration away from your skin and spread it across the surface of the fabric. This allows moisture to evaporate more quickly, helping you stay cooler, drier, and more comfortable during long days of birding, hiking, and outdoor adventure.

What is PURE-tech™?

PURE-tech™ is the Cool Wicking Technology that adapts to hot or cold conditions to keep you cool and dry. PURE-tech™ delivers superior moisture-wicking features shown to improve the body’s core performance, releasing heat when it’s warm and trapping it in the cold.
