Our Story

Birding has been our passion since 1995, but decades outdoors taught us a hard truth: exposure to the sun can come at a high cost. After being diagnosed with malignant melanoma four times and basal cell carcinoma twice, our founder, Joe Hammond, understood the urgent need for specific apparel that keeps birders safe without sacrificing performance.

So we asked: Why doesn’t this exist? And then we built it.
